Robert Half BVBA (Hereinafter “Robert Half”) is responsible for processing the personal data that it will collect.

Which data do we collect about you?
Robert Half only collects your relevant data. This can particularly be the following personal data:
- Curriculum vitae, motivational letters, contact details, notes made during the job interview;
- Payroll information such as: your national registry number, your address, your seniority, your marital status, your bank account number, your family composition, your date of birth, your phone number, your email address;
- Your salary and salary slips;
- The name of an emergency contact person;
- The details of reference persons provided by you;
- Evaluation forms and test results.
- Information about your health and/or judicial/criminal records will only be processed if this is relevant to your job application and in compliance with legally imposed restrictions.
Why are these personal data processed and which are the legal grounds for processing them?
Robert Half will process your personal data as part of a private employment mediation (temporary employment, perm placement or Interim Management). Additionally, we have an online database on our website. This database is completely anonymized. The following information is contained: your experience, your region, your knowledge and your education.
Your payroll information is collected for our salary administration. Your curriculum, motivational letter, contact details and notes made during interviews, the details of your references, as well as your evaluation forms and test results will be processed for the purpose of an application process, Both are legally based on the execution of an agreement.
The name of a contact person is collected to allow us to contact a family member or friend in case of emergencies, legally based on the need to protect the vital interests of our employees.
Your marital status and dependent children are necessary for calculations for fiscal and social purposes.
Your email address is used for marketing purposes, after your preliminary consent.
Additionally, your data can be used for the purpose of producing several statistics, legally based on our legitimate interest. These statistics will be anonymous where possible.
Which third parties will your data be transferred to?
Robert Half can transfer your personal data to its clients, or organizations processing your data on behalf of the client, in the context of private employment mediation (temporary employment, perm placement or Interim Management).
Payroll information is transferred, on the one hand, to our payroll administration provider and our provider of cheques, for the purpose of completing our salary administration, and on the other hand to the competent public authorities to comply with our legal obligations.
Our organization charges third parties with the processing of personal data for a particular task. With all those third parties, who work as processors, we conclude a processing agreement and we do everything in our power to ensure they adequately secure your personal data. Third parties can only use and process your data for the same purposes as described above.
Your personal data will not be sold, leased, distributed, or otherwise commercially provided to third parties.
In rare cases we may have to reveal your personal data following a court order or to comply with other binding legislation or regulations.
Security and confidentiality
We have developed security measures on a technical and organizational level to avoid the destruction, loss, falsification, alteration, access by non-authorized people or accidental communication to third parties of collected personal data, as well as any other non-authorized processing of these data.
Will your data be shared outside the EU?
Robert Half is part of an international group of companies operating globally; Robert Half may also communicate your personal data to other companies within the Robert Half group, including its parent company, Robert Half International Inc., established in the United States. Many of our storage systems (servers, cloud) are located in the United States, which means your data will be transferred there.
It is also possible that third parties who we transfer your data to, are located outside the European Union.
Transfer outside the European Union will only occur in compliance with legal regulations.
What are your rights?
Right of access and inspection: You always have a right to access and inspect your information processed by us.
Right of rectification, erasure and restriction:You are free to communicate or not your personal data to us. Additionally, you always have the right to request rectification, completion or removal of your personal data. Personal data needed for our payroll administration and data we are legally obliged to store and process cannot be removed. You can also request a restriction on the processing of your personal data.
Right to objection: You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for serious and legitimate reasons. Right to data portability: You have the right to obtain your personal data processed by us in a structured, common and machine-readable format and/or to transfer them to other parties in charge.
Right of withdrawal of consent: Insofar as the processing is based on your prior consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent.
Automatic decisions and profiling: The processing of your personal data does not entail profiling, nor will you be subjected to automated decisions from us.
You can exercise your rights by contacting us. We have the right to check your identity before we honor your request.
How long will your data be stored?
If you have not been placed in a job by us, your data will be stored up to 2 years after the final contact. At the end of this period, you will be contacted again to decide whether you want to continue to be registered at our offices.
If you have been placed in a job by us, your data will be stored up to 10 years after signing the last contract. At the end of this period, you will be contacted again to decide whether you want to continue to be registered at our offices.
Your personal data will in any case be stored in compliance with the law and the limitation periods that oblige us to store your personal data for a longer period, e.g. to defend ourselves against any legal actions.
You can always exercise your rights as described above.
Where can you turn in case of complaints?
In the first place you can of course always come to us with your complaint.
In addition to that, you have the right to file a complaint with the Privacy commissioner.
This does not affect any civil court provisions. In case you suffer any harm as a consequence of the processing of your personal data, you can submit a damage claim.
