Robert Half is currently recruiting a (m/f) Finance Manager to join a well-known player in the automotive market based in the area around Boom.

Our client is a growing company with stable stakeholders and a rock solid base.

The scope of responsibilities for this job include:

  • Monitor and control business performance of the group against budget and forecasts on a monthly basis
  • Coordinate the preparation of the annual budget and of financial forecasts from time to time
  • Regulate, supervise and implement a timely, full and accurate set of accounting books of the companies/legal entities within the group
  • Ensure compliance with all reporting, legal, tax, accounting and audit requirements imposed by the regulatory and tax framework
  • Ensure financial audit and control systems to monitor the performance of the firm, its flow of funds, the adherence to the budget, the expenditures, the income, the cost of sales and other budgetary items are in place and effective
  • Manage the treasury of all cash funds held within the group in the most optimal way
  • Assist the business in the financial evaluation and structuring of pricing campaigns and/or investment proposals and business development initiatives
  • Initiate and engage in all sorts of activities, financial or other, conducive to the financial health, the growth prospects and the fulfilment of investment plans of the company to the best of your ability and with the appropriate dedication of the time and efforts required
  • Maintain a working relationship with the banks and financial institutions
  • Manage, coach and guide the Finance department within the group (in total 6 people)

The requested qualifications for this job include:

  • You have a Master degree in Finance, Applied Economics, Commercial Engineering, or equivalent by experience
  • You have at least 10 years of experience in accounting and/or (business) controlling
  • A first people management experience is a must
  • You are fluent in both Dutch and English, with a good knowledge of French
  • You have a good general IT knowledge as well as excellent analytical skills
  • You have a strong business sense
  • You have strong communication skills as well as people skills
  • You are flexible, assertive, pragmatic and proactive
  • You are solution driven
